Meadowside School is a specialist provider of education for Pupils aged 11 to 19 with complex learning difficulties, communication and/or sensory needs, autism, ADHD and varying health conditions. Meadowside is a succesful and innovative school which is well established within the community in a green and quiet location. The school has excellent facilities with a new (September 2018) large Hydrotherapy Pool and changing facilities, an immersive theatre, a sensory suite, extensive ICT facilities and autism-friendly bases in each classroom. We are a small school with 75 pupils, where every member of staff knows every child extremely well.

Meadowside has learners and staff who are highly motivated and work hard together in a calm, purposeful, focused atmosphere, in partnership with parents. We have high expectations for all learners and support them to grow in maturity and empower them to develop their independence. We encourage individuals to take increasing responsibility and control over the choices life can offer.

We celebrate the smallest steps individual learners make and the huge barriers they overcome. The school ethos is to promote a safe, happy, fun and caring learning environment, with a willingness to try hard and achieve.

I look forward to meeting you.

With warmest regards,

Paula Wareing
Head Teacher
